fraternal services

One of the unfortunate realities of this life is that it eventually ends for us all. Our Lodge is experienced in honoring members of the Fraternity who have passed by preforming Masonic funeral services for them per their final wishes. Upon request from a deceased member’s remaining family, our Lodge will conduct these services in conjunction with the chosen funeral home, or religious institution. We have also conducted graveside services for members when requested. To request a Masonic funeral ceremony, please contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements.

With our Lodge being located in a historically rich site such as Gettysburg, we are accustomed to hearing from visiting brethren who are “passing through” and who just want to visit the Lodge. If you are a member of a Masonic Lodge in another area, please feel free to stop in for a meeting with us on the second Thursday of each month, or to contact us for a Lodge tour.

Not to be confused with the Lodge’s ‘Charity Fund’ for the community, the Almoners Fund is be used specifically for the needs of members. A member simply need apply to the Lodge for financial relief, or make his situation known to a brother who can speak for him. If you are undergoing a hardship where you need assistance, do not be shy! contact us, we are here to help. This assistance is also available to the widows, children, and orphans of members.

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they get sick, or they are not able to do everything they are used to doing due to Father Time taking his toll. This does not mean that you need to go through these situations alone! If you are a member, or family of a member, who needs help when you are sick, or who just needs to see a friendly face every now and then, please contact us to let us know how we can assist you.  Our visitation committee is active and willing to travel!

One of the most under-served populations of the Fraternity are the widows and children of deceased members. Many times family members do not even know that they are eligible for assistance from the Lodge when times are hard. One just needs to remember that Freemasonry is a lifelong institution, and that in it we are all family. Our Lodge has a long history of helping in these situations when we are notified of a need, and we are always happy to help. Whether this need be financial, or even something as simple as getting a ride to a medical appointment, we try to assist in any way we can. Contact us to see if there is a need that you think we can help with.
